CONVERGENCE STATION
KL&A played a uniquely integrated role in Meow Wolf Denver’s Convergence Station, serving as structural engineer, steel construction manager, and steel detailer. The 90,000 square foot building was constructed on a tight triangular site between elevated highways, demanding innovative structural solutions and close coordination from the outset. KL&A designed the core and shell, including drilled-pier foundations, lateral braced frames, and composite steel floors engineered to support the high loads required for immersive exhibits and future adaptability.

Beyond design, KL&A managed steel detailing, fabrication coordination, and erection logistics. Their team produced all shop drawings and worked closely with the fabricator and erector to ensure efficient delivery and installation. Many art elements were integrated into the structural frame, requiring close collaboration with Meow Wolf’s creative team to support the architectural vision while maintaining structural integrity.
