TESTIMONIALS

PATRICK SWALLOW
2026 Intern
Colorado State University
One of my favorite experiences from this summer was going to Beuna Vista for a site visit at AU Ranches. While I have had many opportunities to be onsite this summer, I actually did a few design tasks on this project so it was cool to see it in person. Additionally, KL&A is a part of the US Forest Service's Wood Innovation Grant. Through this, I had the opportunity to help test NLT in a structural lab which was super fun.
NORAH ARTLEY
2026 Intern
Colorado State University

What initially drew me to KL&A was the location in the heart of Golden, but what made the experience so much more valuable was the constant support and encouragement from all my coworkers. Within the first week, I was able to help with real projects and gain insight into the coordination and real-world design considerations. The combination of strong mentorship and responsibility created an environment where I had the freedom and ability to grow as both a student and engineer.
ERIK JACKSON
2026 Intern
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

My favorite experience this summer would either be going on a site visit for a structural assessment, or going out with the civil team out to do a drone flight survey. I'd recommend KL&A's internship program for the flexibility, the variety of work and simply that they're a company with a culture attributed to learning and furthering education.
