The Denver Hospice Addition expands an existing care facility with a focus on comfort, dignity, and a residential scale for patients and families. Working with MOA Architects, KL&A provided structural engineering that supports calm, light-filled spaces while integrating seamlessly with the existing campus.

The structure was carefully designed to connect to the existing building with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Efficient framing and strategic column placement create flexible patient and communal spaces while meeting the performance demands of a healthcare environment.

Through close coordination with the design and construction teams, KL&A focused on constructability and integration—helping deliver an addition that is both technically sound and aligned with the project’s mission of compassionate care.
